How to use EL (Electro Luminescent) Wire

\"el_wire.jpg\"

A primer on how to wire and use Electroluminescent wire… EL Wire, also known as Electroluminescent wire, is a stiff wire core coated with phosphor and then covered with a protective PVC sheath. When an AC signal is applied to it, it glows an aqua (blue green) color. Sometimes its covered with a colored plastic shell to make it appear another color. It looks a little like thin neon. Very bendable, it keeps its shape and you can curl it around your finger. Its an easy way to add some glow to a project, not as bright as LEDs but uses a lot less power!
It\’s often used for costuming, decoration, accent lighting, safety vests, bicycle/motorcycle/car/boat/home decoration, signs, etc. It\’s definitely the most popular wearable electronics we\’ve seen since its so easily to use.

AT&T – The Worst Cellular service in the US?

\"us-cellular.jpg\"

If there ever was any proof that Apple needs to move the iPhone to other carriers, I believe we just found it.  According to Consumer Reports, AT&T provides the worst Value, Service, and Consumer Support than any of the other major carriers…  T-Mobile is even rated higher than AT&T.

Does this really surprise the AT&T users?  I have frequent drop outs, especially when inside a building…  Plus, my own house seems to have a dead zone, in one room.

While AT&T may claim that they have made major changes in their network, and that they are building in more capacity, that seems at odds with their \”Free Wi-Fi\” hotspots that they have placed in some of the major cities….

I personally don\’t see how Apple can justify any continuation of the exclusivity contract with AT&T for the iPhone…

The Servers are doomed, Doomed I say!

Well, today is the day where the Internet dies.  Not with a whimper, but with a Cayaclysm!

Will Blizzard\’s servers be able to take a the load?  Will the Internet die do to P2P sharing of the upgrade files?  If you were not aware of this, Blizzard is one of the few companies that legally use Bittorrent to distribute their upgrade(s).  So each WOW player runs a very small Bittorrent package that distributes & downloads the WOW software as neeeded.
The player can opt out of the Bittorrent feature, but if they do, they are only downloading from Blizzard themselves and they claim the download will take significantly longer…
Either way, with a release this big, expect some hickups along the way…
