Doctor Who – A Good Man Goes to War

Here\’s a quick mini, no spoilers, review…
Steven Moffat had said that we were going to be getting some answers this year… And he\’s come through.
I won\’t be going into any details, until our next Viewing Next (5/12/2011), but we learn the answers to some of River Song\’s mysteries. We learn more about the baby, and that Rory has a reputation now…
Overall, my only complaints were the spitfires in space. True, the were only there for 10-15 seconds, but I didn\’t like them the first time. Why would I like them the second time around…
Overall, out of 10, I give this episode an 8….
I don\’t believe this episode is a \”game-changer\”, at least, I would have to see the second part of the season before I can make this decision.
But, we may see The Doctor trying some different tactics in the future. As we kept mentioning during Torchwood. For an highly secretive and unknown agency, Torchwood is quite well-known.
Torchwood 2-01 Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

EXT NIGHT Cardiff streets, for once from the ground
(Starts with the cute sequence with the old lady, the crossing lights, and the fish.)
(SUV pulls up)
GWEN: Scuse me, have you seen a blowfish, driving a sports car?
(Old lady points)
GWEN: Thank you!
(SUV drives off)
OLD LADY: Bloody Torchwood!
The Classic Doctor, used to be very secretive and either disappeared quietly into the night, or asked for no one to acknowledge he was there…
I think that this episode might be a attempt to direct the Doctor back to this \”Quiet Hero\”, of old. But only time will tell.

Doctor Who anime – FINAL. ドクター・フーのファン・アニメ

A while ago, I showed a trailer for a Doctor Who Anie…

Well, the wait is over…

All 13 minutes of the completed fake Doctor Who 80s-style anime. Drawn, animated and partially voiced by myself. Some bits are good, some bits are poor, but on the whole it turned out okay, I think. Enjoy! This is old school Who, so fans of the new reboot show may be confused by the fact that the Doctor is doing martial arts and Cybermen say \”excellent.\” Watch the classics and you\’ll understand. You\’ll also become almost instantly more handsome by watching classic Who.

Why did James Bond switch to a .38 Air-weight Revolver?

Ian Fleming, in Late May of 1956, received a letter that was politely critical on Mr. Bond\’s weapon of choice.

I have, by now, got rather fond of Mr. James Bond. I like most of the things about him, with the exception of his rather deplorable taste in firearms. In particular, I dislike a man who comes into contact with all sorts of formidable people using a .25 Beretta. This sort of gun is really a lady\’s gun, and not a really nice lady at that. If Mr. Bond has to use a light gun he would be better off with a .22 rim fire; the lead bullet would cause more shocking effect than the jacketed type of the .25.
May I suggest that Mr. Bond be armed with a revolver?

Read the full letter, and see Ian Flemings reply at this link.. Letters of Note: May I suggest that Mr. Bond be armed with a revolver?.

[Life] Outside Aperture

With the fate of the main character of the game, Chell, left up in the air at the end of the game, we took the liberty of creating a fan film under the assumption that Chell lived to escape the Aperture Science Laboratories, and must now face life out in the real world. She finds an abandoned house, still stocked with food, and begins a new life with her trusty Portal Gun at her side.

What is Indigo Weather Conditions?

Quite Simply, it\’s a built-in Weather  tool for Indigo.  While it is similar to the NOAA script, it doesn\’t simply populate the variables in Indigo.  It is designed for Indigo v5, and it does so much more…
First, it has an honest to goodness, User Interface.  Second, it will also product a web page that give you the current Weather Conditions, as well as a Weather forecast.
