Doctor Who: Demon Quest Five Part Audio Series Confirmed

BBC Audio have confirmed that following the previous successful Fourth Doctor audio series, Hornets’ Nest written by Paul Magrs, another five part audio series with the Fourth Doctor will be released later this year. The Hornets’ Nest audio series featured the return of Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor alongside Richard Franklin as UNIT Captain Mike Yates who regularly appeared during the Jon Pertwee era of the show.
BBC Audio haven’t confirmed much regarding the Demon Quest audio series, only that Tom Baker will reprise his role of the Fourth Doctor and the whole series is expected to have been written by Paul Magrs again. Volume one of Demon Quest will be released on Thursday the Second of September around the United Kingdom and Ireland.

There\’s a new EyeTV 3.3.2 (build 6034) available but auto-update in EyeTV 3.3 (5851) won\’t get it, so as mentioned here before, cut and paste this into your browser to get the update:

64-bit Components:
EyeTV 3.3.2 contains several additional components that are running in Intel 64-bit mode. In addition to the H.264 video decoder, MPEG-2 video is decoded in 64-bit mode for both playback and export.
EyeTV Sharing and EyeConnect now run in 64-bit mode.

Bug Fixes: EyeTV 3.3.2 contains many bug fixes, improving performance and stability.

Hardware:

  • Improved quality of analog recordings with EyeTV Hybrid (North America 2010) on Macs with Intel Core Duo processors 2.26 GHz and faster.
  • Improved stability for the EyeTV Netstream DTT, EyeTV Hybrid 2010 (North America), and EyeTV Sat.
  • Improved CAM reliability and support for EyeTV Sat.
  • EyeTV Sat no longer accepts remote commands from unsupported remote controls.
  • Fixed a problem where analog channel names were not displayed when tuning with EyeTV Hybrid.

    Recordings:

  • Improved performance when loading large libraries.
  • Fixed crashes related to memory usage.
  • Fix a problem where an incorrect audio track was exported to program or elementary streams.
  • Improved sort speed in Programs window.

    Program Guide:

  • Fixed a problem where shows longer than 3 hours would not show a title or episode title in the EPG.
  • Improved details view for EPG.
  • Fixed a crash when clearing the EPG.
  • Program Guide searches are no longer case sensitive.
  • Improved resiliency during EPG server outages.

    Misc:

  • Fixed a crash when displaying Picture-in-Picture.
  • Fixed a problem during analog input capture where certain VHS players would show \”No Signal\” after a few seconds of fast forward or reverse.
  • Improved picture quality of DV exports.
  • EyeConnect now recognizes when the local IP Address has changed, and resumes working.

    Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D571 Available to Developers [Seed Notes]

    A little under two weeks after Apple previously seeded a build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 the company has released a new seed labelled 10D571.

    Mac OS X 10.6.3 has been in developer testing since early January and continues to deliver enhancements and bug fixes. Unlike previous builds 10D571 comes with one known issue.

    • Compatibility issues with OpenGL-based applications
    • Performance improvements for 64-bit Logic
    • Changes to QuickTime X that increase reliability and improve compatibility and security
    • Printing reliability and compatibility with third party printers
    • Issues resolved that prevented files from copying to Windows shares
    • Issues resolved with recurring events in iCal when connected to an Exchange server
    • Issues resolved that prevented files with the ‘#’ or ‘&’ symbols in their names from opening in Rosetta
    • Issues addressed that caused background message colors to display incorrectly in Mail when scrolling
    • Issue resolved that caused machines using BTMM and the Bonjour Sleep Proxy to wake unexpectedly

    Known Issues

    • Safari 4.0.5 will be reoffered by Software Update after upgrading to 10D571 from a previous seed
