Bishoujo version of Mass Effect\’s blue-skinned asari Liara T\’Soni.

Evidently Bioware is working with Kotobukiya on a mold of Mass Effect\’s blue-skinned asari Liara T\’Soni.  That\’s a little surprising…  But what\’s more amazing is the fan reaction. Overall, it seems to be very mixed, with a lot of people complaining about the \”Anime\” proportions of the statue.

Stop me, if I am wrong…  But isn\’t that the idea of a Bishoujo model?

But wait, do you know what it means?

Bishōjo (美少女?, literally \”beautiful young girl\”, also spelled bishoujo) is a Japanese term used to refer to young and pretty girls, usually below university age. Bishōjo is not listed as a word in the prominent Japanese dictionary Kōjien. A variant named biyōjo (美幼女?) refers to a girl before the age of adolescence.

So, I think the statue is perfect for the Bishōjo market.  Yes, the model looks younger, and certainly mets someone\’s requirement for pretty / beautiful young girl…

What do you think?

\"liara\"
